Ultimate Protective Coating

ToughGuard STEp-2 has a high temperature thermal threshold of +450 F and a low temperature thermal threshold of -80 Fahrenheit. Traditional waxes and polishes deteriorate from heat exposure, absorb buildup and pollutants, and wash away with detergents. ToughGuard STEP-2 does not!

ToughGuard STEP-2 protects Class A paint and gelcoat against the harmful environmental elements such as rain erosion, UV damage, soot and carbon buildup, pollution, volcanic ash, hydraulic fluids and bird/insect residues. Because the paint is protected against harmful environmental factors the lifetime of the paint and gelcoat can be extended indefinitely when ToughGuard STEP-2 is protecting the paint and or gelcoat .

Physical Bond to Painted Surfaces

ToughGuard STEP-2 nano sized natural inorganic resin fills in and smooths out the microscopically rough painted surfaces, then bonds with the paint or gel coat creating an extremely protective barrier coat. This extremely durable barrier coat is impervious to environmental elements such rain erosion, carbon soot, pollution, Skydrol and other chemical products. Because of the microscopically smooth surface dirt and other types of contaminants find it difficult to latch to the ToughGuard treated surface

The ToughGuard STEP-2 durability is real; ToughGuard STEP-2 scored a perfect score of 10 out of 10 in Boeing's Rain Erosion test meaning there was no loss of product. There simply is no equal to the toughness and durability of the ToughGuard STEP-2 paint & gel coat protectant product!

Eco Performance

Just as important, ToughGuard-Aero® products are non-hazardous, environmentally sound, and safe. In fact, ToughGuard-Aero® is a water soluble product and has very low VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds). Because ToughGuard-Aero® impedes dirt and other contaminants from adhering to painted surfaces; there is less need for regular cleaning maintenance therefore reducing the usage of water, washing detergents and cleaning chemicals. Pilots flying aircraft protected with ToughGuard-Aero can literally fly through clouds to clean the plane before landing at their destination.
